More Bali Hotels
Apart from the most popular tourist areas around Bali there are more Bali hotels that you can stay in that offer the same variety and quality of service that you would expect from the busy tourist locations. Even though these hotels are not advertised as much as some of the others they offer fantastic views of the island and also cater for your individual needs. Sometimes the most popular hotels are not the best places to stay especially if you are looking to have a quiet romantic vacation or just want to relax on the beach without the crowds.
Every year there are more Bali hotels being built to accommodate the growing number of tourists that visit Bali and the island has so many natural treasures to offer that the locations are becoming more and more exotic and isolated. Many tourists are tired of the commercially dominated Bali hotels and are looking to experience the traditional side of Bali. Building these different resorts and villas around the island means that the tourist is becoming spoiled for choice when it comes to vacationing on the island. The tourist industry has been booming for decades and there seems to be no let up in the amount of money that the Balinese government is willing to spend in order to create unique tourist resorts and places of interest to keep the industry alive. Most people book hotels ahead when going to Bali, but if you are the more adventurous kind and don’t mind taking a few risks then you may come across a little treasure of a hotel by exploring the island when you arrive.
Unexplored Bali
There are so many unexplored areas of Bali that the more Bali hotels that get built, the more chance you have of stumbling upon a totally remote resort, albeit small, totally isolated and will have the place entirely to yourself. A remote small hotel will be just as exciting as staying in the large tourist’s resorts unless you are intent on spending a lot of time in the night clubs and bars. Access to anywhere in Bali never means hours of driving so having your own little gem off a place will never mean you can’t enjoy whatever else Bali has to offer.
Surrounding Bali are many other smaller islands that are now being developed to give tourists an opportunity of staying in different locations. Over time these will become more popular and crowded, but for now they are very quite places and depending on your budget it may be possible to book an entire island for the weekend. Indonesia is made up of over 20,000 islands and many of these are situated close to Bali, so there are always going to be more Bali Hotels available than you could visit in a lifetime of vacations, unless of course you decide that Bali is such a great place you move there permanently which happens often.
Most of these new hotels and resorts are being developed further north along the east and west coast as the southern tip of Bali is already saturated with various resorts and hotels. The two major airports that service Bali are in the south, but the island is so small that the drive to the places in the south normally never takes more than 90 minutes unless you are heading off into the mountains and it is the terrain that will slow you down, not the distance. With so many of the existing hotels already along the coast more Bali Hotels are now being built inland giving easier access to the activities that are available. Now instead of having to travel from your resort in the south of the island you can be minutes away if you want to go on a whitewater tour or visit the Elephant Safari Park.
